Registration is open for NICBotCamps in Port Alberni, which run August 19 鈥� 23. Deadline to register is August 14.

NIC鈥檚 popular Lego Robotics summer camps return to Port Alberni this summer with a new Level 2 offering.

Date: Aug 19, 2019 - Aug 23, 2019 Location: Port Alberni campus

NICBotCamps teach students to build, program and control Lego robots while exploring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills.

Along with the usual Level 1 offering, kids with Lego Robotics experience can continue to build their skills with the new Level 2 camp.

鈥淭he NICBotCamps have been extremely popular for the last few years,鈥� said Naomi Tabata, manager of NIC鈥檚 Centre for Applied Research, Technology and Innovation (CARTI). 鈥淜ids explore their creativity as they design, build and program robots that can move, race, dance and complete wacky tasks from their imagination.鈥�

The Level 1 camps are for students aged 9 to 12, while Level 2 is for students aged 10 to 14.

Both camps run August 19 鈥� 23 at NIC鈥檚 Port Alberni campus. Deadline to register is August 14.
