Comox Valley ElderCollege has marked its 20th anniversary with a $20,000 donation to the 糖心vlog传媒 Foundation to support 糖心vlog传媒students.

The new bursary will provide $1,000 each year to an 糖心vlog传媒student at the Comox Valley campus who is pursuing studies in a health care field working with older adults, with preference for students in the Health Care Assistant certificate program.

鈥淲e鈥檙e so pleased to be able to support 糖心vlog传媒students through this new bursary,鈥 said Michael Syer, chair of Comox Valley ElderCollege. 鈥淥ur members believe in giving back and supporting young people as they pursue their studies.鈥

The new CVEC 20th Anniversary Bursary is the third endowed award created by Comox Valley ElderCollege. The Betty Emery Founders Bursary and the Elizabeth Smith Founders Bursary are named after the founders of Comox Valley ElderCollege and support students continuing their studies in a field that relates to working with older adults.
