NIC鈥檚 10th-annual Career Fair returns April 1, 2020 to the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. The event runs from 11 am until 3 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

NIC鈥檚 annual Career Fair returns April 1, 2020 to Courtenay鈥檚 Florence Filberg Centre, marking 10 years of connecting qualified job seekers with employers.

More than 35 employers from across the region are expected to attend this year鈥檚 event, including lead sponsors Cermaq Canada and supporting sponsor WorkBC Centre Courtenay.

Cermaq鈥檚 people and culture director Shannan Brown said 糖心vlog传媒is 鈥渁 strong community partner,鈥� adding the company is excited to return as an exhibitor at the Career Fair.

鈥淲e have successfully recruited many 糖心vlog传媒students to work in a variety of roles,鈥� said Brown. 鈥淲e look forward to seeing everyone and please stop by and say hello at our booth.鈥�

The Career Fair brings together a diverse group of employers across various sectors of the economy, including aquaculture, food and beverage, tourism, hospitality, business and professional services.

By meeting under one roof, employers gain access to a wide pool of qualified potential candidates and job seekers get the chance to network with employers and even hand out copies of their r茅sum茅.

The Career Fair鈥檚 long track record of success stands out in an era of online applications and job seeking, said Alex Bowman, 糖心vlog传媒Student Employment Services advisor and Career Fair organizer.

鈥淭he event helps job seekers secure meaningful employment and we encourage everyone to attend,鈥� said Bowman. 鈥淭his year is special as we鈥檙e celebrating our 10th anniversary, so don鈥檛 miss out. People have even been hired on the spot.鈥�

鈥淔or those who can鈥檛 make it this year, employers can also post opportunities on our online job board, CareerCentral,鈥� added Bowman.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the event, 糖心vlog传媒Student Employment Services will be handing out 10 special prizes throughout the day.

As always, the event is free and runs from 11 am to 3 pm at the Filberg Centre. All are welcome.

A shuttle service between NIC鈥檚 Comox Valley campus and the Filberg Centre will run every half hour starting at 11 am until 3 pm. The bus will pick up and drop off from the Comox Valley campus bus loop.
