Student aid

helps students access loans, grants and other programs to pay for their post-secondary education. 

StudentAid BC loans are available for full-time and part-time students. Applications open every June for the next academic year (August to the following July).

You may be eligible to have your expenses, including fees and books, covered by a .

Nursing tuition credit

The program was developed through the Ministry of Health鈥檚 Health Human Resource Strategy. It's designed to attract and retain students in nursing education programs and help fill key health workforce gaps across the province. 

If you are enrolled in NIC's Practical Nursing DIploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (regular stream or option C), a tuition credit will be applied to your account. You do not need to apply for this grant.

Emergency aid 

If you鈥檙e an 糖心vlog传媒student and facing unexpected circumstances, you may be eligible for a needs-based emergency bursary. Email advising@nic.bc.ca for more information. 

Former youth in care 

If you were , you may be able to receive financial assistance for tuition and other expenses related to your education. Advisors can help you apply for tuition waivers, future grants and refer you to other supports available.

Out-of-province aid 

Some students who haven't lived in BC for 12 months need to apply for student aid through another province.
