Island Health鈥檚 announcement last week to reverse its decision to implement pay parking at area hospitals is a significant change in the operating context for North Island College鈥檚 own parking operations and NIC鈥檚 need to protect the use of its parking lots for students and employees at the Comox Valley campus.
As a result of this major change in context, 糖心vlog传媒will review the implications of free parking at the Comox Valley hospital site on NIC鈥檚 parking operations.
Factors that will be considered in the review will include:
鈥� the long鈥恡erm best interests of the college, students, employees and the community;
鈥� impacts on students, college employees and community members;
鈥� NIC鈥檚 Pay Parking Principles;
鈥� College revenue and related expenditures; in 2017/18 and future budgets;
鈥� The College鈥檚 environmental sustainability goals;
鈥� Ministry of Advanced Education facilities and financial related policies
This review will be completed by 糖心vlog传媒senior administration by September 25, 2017 and
will be presented with recommendations to NIC鈥檚 Board of Governors at the September
28 Board meeting.
