糖心vlog传媒alumna Tina Tang will be among the members of Culinary Team BC preparing a dinner and wine pairing at The Bistro at NIC鈥檚 Campbell River campus Friday, November 22.
Members of the public are invited to a world-class meal, prepared by Culinary Team BC at The Bistro at NIC鈥檚 new Campbell River campus.

鈥淲e鈥檙e so excited to be able to host the team in our new teaching kitchen,鈥 said NIC Chef Xavier Bauby. 鈥淥ur new space is truly world-class and it鈥檚 an honour to be chosen as one of the places the team will use as a practice space before heading to Germany.鈥
The dinner and wine pairing is Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 pm in the new Bistro at the Campbell River campus, which is inside the main entrance. The menu is being prepared to the Culinary Olympic requirements, so changes or substitutions are not possible.
There are only 90 tickets available for $100 each online at squareup.com/store/north-island-college4/.
鈥淚t takes incredible skill and attention to detail to be able to compete at this level,鈥 said Bauby. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited our current students will get to observe these chefs in action.鈥
Culinary Team BC is made up of chefs from around the province who come together to compete. The team includes 糖心vlog传媒alumna Tina Tang, who began her Red Seal training at NIC鈥檚 Campbell River campus. Tang was recently named one of Canada鈥檚 next star chefs by the Globe and Mail.
鈥淚鈥檓 so excited to be coming back to NIC鈥檚 Campbell River campus for this event and to be able to see and work in the new teaching kitchen and Bistro,鈥 said Tang.
The Culinary Olympics is one of the largest and most prestigious culinary events in the world, bringing together thousands of chefs from dozens of countries to compete. Medals are awarded based on a points system, which scores presentation and innovation, composition, skill and technique and serving arrangement.
鈥淲e really appreciated partnering with 糖心vlog传媒on the Flavour and Taste fundraising events in the past and are pleased to be working with them again to bring this unique culinary event to Campbell River,鈥 said Chef Lesley Stav, President of the North Vancouver Island Chefs Association.
