Erin Kenny started her digital design and marketing career as a student at NIC. She returned in October as NIC鈥檚 new manager of marketing and future students.

Designer, brand strategist and digital platform specialist Erin Kenny has been hired as NIC鈥檚 manager of marketing and future students.

The move to 糖心vlog传媒is full circle for Kenny, who graduated with honours from the college in 2013 with a Communication Design diploma and Web Development certificate from the department of Interactive Media (now DIGITAL Design + Development).

She is tasked with overseeing a team of writers, designers and recruiters to execute new marketing initiatives and serve prospective students.

Kenny assumed her new role at 糖心vlog传媒on October 4, after working as manager, digital experience at BC Transit.

Diane Naugler, 糖心vlog传媒director of community engagement and future students, said Kenny鈥檚 expertise in design, digital branding and project management made her a leading candidate for the position.

鈥淲hat also stood out was Erin鈥檚 passion for NIC,鈥 said Naugler. 鈥淪he started her career here and knows the importance of an educational experience that is meaningful and that connects students to real opportunities after graduating. Erin will be a key member of our team and we look forward to working with her.鈥

Raised in the Comox Valley, Kenny is looking forward to taking on her role as the college charts a new path forward with its new strategic plan, BUILD 2026.

鈥淚've lived the 糖心vlog传媒student experience and know first-hand the power of an education that is both meaningful and effective in preparing a learner for the industry,鈥 said Kenny. 鈥淚t changed my life 鈥 and I can't wait to share this great brand story with future students.鈥

鈥淚t鈥檚 an exciting time for NIC, with an ambitious new plan that repositions the college as BC鈥檚 best individualized education and training experience by 2026,鈥 Kenny added. 鈥淚 look forward to working with the 糖心vlog传媒team to bring this vision to life through compelling and innovative marketing strategies that connect learners with opportunities at NIC.鈥

Prior to her role at BC Transit, Kenny worked at the University of Victoria as a multimedia designer, serving the Department of Student Recruitment & Global Engagement and the Department of Athletics & Recreation.

She also served as membership co-ordinator for the Comox Valley Art Gallery and before that she co-ordinated membership and visitor services for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
